বঙ্গানুবাদ, একাদশ ও দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি

01. Student should observe the laws of health. They should rise from bed early in the morning and go out for a walk. Besides these, they should take care of and perform all those things which are necessary for the preparation of health. They should be diligent. Diligence is the root of all progress. The person who is a verse to labour cannot succeed in life.

০১.বঙ্গানুবাদ : ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের স্বাস্থ্য বিধি মেনে চলা উচিত। খুব সকালে ঘুম থেকে জাগার পর তাদের ভ্রমণে বের হওয়া উচিত। এ ছাড়া স্বাস্থ্য রক্ষার জন্য যা কিছু করণীয় সেগুলোও সযতেœ পালন করা উচিত। তাদের পরিশ্রমী হওয়া উচিত। পরিশ্রমই সকল উন্নতির মূল। শ্রমবিমুক মানুষ জীবনে উন্নতি করতে পারে না।

02. It is impossible to describe the beauty of the Taj in words. It has been called a dream in marble and a tear drop on the cheeks of time but the fairest phrases fail to do justice to the surpassing creation of art. The Taj is best seen by moonlight when the dazzling white of the marble is mellowed into a dreamy softness. The most charming view, perhaps, is obtained from the palace on the opposite bank of the river.

০২. বঙ্গানুবাদ:তাজমহলের সৌন্দর্য অনির্বচনীয়। একে মার্বেল পাথরের মধ্যে স্বপ্ন এবং কালের কপোলতলে এক বিন্দু নয়নের জল বলে আখ্যায়িত করা হয়েছে। কিন্তু এ চমৎকার নান্দনিক শব্দাবলিও শিল্পকলার এ অনন্য সৃষ্টির প্রতি সুবিচার করতে ব্যর্থ। জ্যোস্না প্লাবিত রাতে যখন মার্বেল পাথরের চোখ ধাঁধানো শুভ্রতা স্বপ্নময়কোমলতায় আবিষ্ট হয় তখনই তাজমহলকে বসচেয়ে সুন্দর দেখায়। তাজমহলের সবচেয়ে সুন্দর দৃশ্য সম্ভবত নদীর অপর তীরের প্রাসাদ থেকে দেখা যায়।

03. Dishonest men may seem to prosper and go undetected but only for short time. Dishonesty is sure to be detected in the long run and follow punishment and disgrace. Honesty is, therefore, the best policy.

০৩. বঙ্গানুবাদ: মনে হয় যে, অসৎ ব্যক্তিরা উন্নতি করে এবং ধরাছোঁয়ার বাইরে থেকে যায়, তবে তা কেবল ক্ষণকালের জন্য। অবশেষে অসততা অবশ্যই প্রকাশ পায়। এ কারণে অসৎ লোক শাস্তি পায়, হয় অসম্মানিত। তাই সততাই সর্বোৎকৃষ্ট পন্থা।

04. Self-reliance means depending on one’s own self. It is a great virtue. Self-help is the best help. God helps those who help themselves, so everybody must rely on his own abilities to be self-reliant. A self-reliant man has confidence in his own abilities. He takes heart in the face of difficulties.

০৪. বঙ্গানুবাদ: আত্মনির্ভরশীলতা বলতে বোঝায় কারো নিজের ওপর নির্ভর করা। এটি একটি মহৎ গুণ। আত্মনির্ভরতাই সর্বোত্তম সাহায্য। আল­াহ তাদের সাহায্য করেন যারা নিজেদের সাহায্য করেন। তাই আত্মনির্ভরশীল হওয়ার জন্য প্রত্যেককে অবশ্যই তার নিজের কর্ম দক্ষতার ওপর নির্ভর করতে হবে। একজন আত্মনির্ভরশীল ব্যক্তির তার নিজের কর্ম দক্ষতার ওপর আত্মবিশ্বাস রয়েছে। বিপদের সময় তিনি সাহস হারান না।

05. Illiteracy is a great problem of our country. No development efforts can succeed unless illiteracy is eradicated. Eradication of illiteracy in a country like Bangladesh with so vast population is undoubtedly a gigantic task. No individual community, organization not even the government is capable of solving this huge problem single handed. It is the social responsibility of all the literate people to make some concerted efforts to remove illiteracy from the country.

০৫. বঙ্গানুবাদ: নিরক্ষরতা আমাদের দেশের একটি ভয়াবহ সমস্যা। নিরক্ষরতা দূর করা ছাড়া কোনো উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডই ফলপ্রসূ হতে পারে না। বাংলাদেশের মতো জনবহুল দেশ হতে নিরক্ষরতা দূর করা নিঃসন্দেহে একটি বৃহৎ কাজ। কোনো পৃথক গোষ্ঠী, সংস্থা এমন কি সরকারের পক্ষে এককভাবে এ বৃহৎ সমস্যার সমাধান সম্ভব নয়। দেশ থেকে নিরক্ষরতা দূর করার জন্য কিছু কার্যকরী পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা শিক্ষিত জনের একটি সামাজিক দায়িত্ব।
